To those of you whining about it being the "artificial god" pokemon, get over it. Christianity is not the only religion, just because the word god is used it does not mean its directed at YOUR God. Keep in mind things like greek mythology, for example, where there were a group of gods. I promise you when they talk about gods in greek mythology they are not talking about THE God. Much like I'm not talking about THE God either.


Also, I'm aware of how overpowered a Mewtwo evolution would be. There is a reason for it. Read on a bit before you cast judgement on it plz.


Design choices
I wanted his new form to be much more dramatic, I aimed to stretch and tweak Mewtwo's silhouette into something reminiscent of that but new. I decided that to illustrate his whole godly-ness, I would opt for a more ultra-advanced, almost inorganic feel. Not quite robotic, but close. As if it had evolved beyond the point of being recognizably organic, if that makes sense. I thought it made more sense to go this route than the more ethereal look, since it was man-made and not a natural born pokemon.


Why his god-power is relevant

Unlike the last Ultios version, this one isn't just strong enough to almost be like a god...it IS strong enough to be a godly force. Why go to such an extreme you ask?

My first response to that...Isn't Arceus of godly power? Stop telling me its overpowered. So is Arceus. Bite me.

And that is my reasoning, right there. Arceus.
When I first saw Arceus, it was my new favorite pokemon. Not because of its power, I just loved it. Just because. But eventually...I got to disliking it. Alot. I'm not sure why I dislike it so, but I do. I think because by conventional thinking, it has put a cap on the most powerful pokemon. Its a god...the God of Pokemon. So this is my way of making Arceus not-so-high-and-mighty. It has a challenger now.

One last thing to note

It is impossible to evolve a Mewtwo into Ultios ~broken or ~perfect by your own means in the game (if there was one.) The evolution is triggered by a story event in which your Mewtwo escapes (vanishes from your party) and evolves into ~Broken Ultios while escaped. It eventually becomes ~Perfect Ultios and is possible to get back into your party at that point. Although it IS a Mewtwo evolution, the game would not have an actual evolutionary link in the coding. As far as the game's code would be concerned, they would be entirely different, unrelated pokemon. And thus impossible to evolve on your own.



NULL TYPE, FOR THOSE CURIOUS
Null type is not weak nor strong against any other type.
Any pokemon with Null type is also coupled with the Null ability, which converts all of their attacks to Null type as well. With all attacks converted to Null, this means there will never be any type advantages in its attacks...however, it also means any attack can be successfully used on any pokemon. Being a Null pokemon means having no weakness, but sacrificing type advantages over other pokemon as well. Instead, Null pokemon tend to have tremendous stats and simply overpower their opponents with...well...raw power.

For example...the obvious advantage of the Null TYPE, means there is no attack type it needs to be afraid of. No moves used against it will be super-effectives. True however, that it also won't have higher defense to certain attacks either, so there also wont be any not-very-effectives.

Advantage of the Null ABILITY, means that Fire Spin can be used on a water pokemon and work just fine, or even hyperbeam or dynamic punch on a ghost pokemon. However this also means that fire spin wont do any extra damage to a grass pokemon, and dynamic punch wont do any extra damage to dark types.


Name has a meaning now!

Ultios = Ulti(mate) +(thanat)os, because of its level of power as well as its (possible) slaying of Arceus.
